Experienced Instructor
Specific Duties:
- Ensuring new visitors have a fantastic first experience with us
- Introducing climbing safety, including proper bouldering and spotting safety
- Educating customers to competently put on a harness, tie the figure eight knots and stopper knot
- Instructing customers in the safe practice using different belay systems
- Teaching short technique classes on a variety of topics
- Ensuring safety of both staff and customers within the facility
- Evaluating experienced climbers on proper belay techniques
- Using Rock Gym Pro to check in customers and process sales
Ideal Prerequisites:
- Experience instructing belaying and climbing
- Previous knowledge of Rock Gym Pro
- Excellent teaching abilities
- Phenomenal customer interaction abilities
- Professional attitude and an eagerness to share their love of climbing
Event Host
- Flexible part time role
- Belaying and managing safety at youth events/parties
- Helping instructors at front desk
- Opportunity to teach youth recreational programs with additional training
Supervisor
- Directs instructors and event hosts
- Ensures smooth and safe day-to-day operation of the gym
- Reports to assistant and general managers
Routesetter
- Creates and maintains routes and boulder problems
Wall Strip Assistant
- Assists head setter by removing holds from walls and cleaning them to prepare for setting
Youth Coach
- Works with youth competitive athletes in training and at competitions
Marketing and Communications
- Manages website and social media
